Old Friends "Dog Breath" - Single Review

Writer's picture: PK WhitePK White

8.5/10

The latest single by New Jersey's Old Friends meshes the sound of 90's grunge with shoegaze, indie and emo. Indie kids of yesteryear may find a pleasant comparison to the shoegaze and noise rock laced album Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia by the Dandy Warhols with the tracks Nietzche and Sleep coming to mind. If shoegaze is your thing, and bands like Pinegrove mean what Radiohead means to others, this is a song worth checking out. For those of you who are fans of Pinegrove, I’m sure this band name already got your attention. Dog Breath is just the most recent in a chain of songs shoegaze fans ought to be saving to their playlists. Well done guys, this is a band worth some serious attention.
